The Walrus and the Carpenter by Lewis Caroll.

The Fairway Galle Literary Festival 2018

The Walrus and the Carpenter by Lewis Caroll

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes – and ships – and sealing-wax –
Of cabbages – and kings –
And why the sea is boiling hot –
And whether pigs have wings.”

Just five months from now, the ninth edition of The Fairway Galle Literary Festival will indeed be a time to talk of many things: in the presence of the ghosts of ships past and present and amidst the sealing shadows of a Fort whose very walls might speak, FGLF will continue to tell the stories of cabbages and kings – of empires and queens – of why the whole world in boiling hot – and whether it matters if pigs have wings.

In addition to providing a platform for first-class literary readings and panel discussions, FGLF will continue to include within its capacious wingspan expert presentations on developments in the fine arts, in medicine, in the law and in contemporary environmental issues.

Await FGLF 2018: truly a Festival of Letters!
