Two Indian writers talk about and read from their work.
Anita Nair’s ‘Idris’, set in 1659, is the story of Idris, a Somalian trader, in Kerala to attend the Mamangam festivities. By a strange twist of fate, he meets his nine year old son, whose existence he was unaware of. They embarks on a voyage that takes them through Galle and ends in the diamond mines of Golconda.
‘Play with Me’, follows Sid, a successful photographer in a boutique ad agency. Single and happy, love has eluded him until the free spirited Cara walks into his life. Then something strange happens – Sid finds himself falling for another.
“Nair’s prose unfolds like an Ang Lee film, as a vast geographic panorama sweeps in front of the reader’s eye, frame by exquisite frame.” – Outlook India.
“Play With Me promises to be a breathless romp of a book that aims to entertain.” – The Indian Express.
Anita Nair’s and Ananth Padmanabhan’s travel sponsored by Sri Lankan Airlines.
