The Fairway Galle Literary Festival (FGLF) is delighted to announce Amangalla as a Silver Partner of the 2018 festival taking place in Galle, Sri Lanka from January 24th-28th, 2018.
Situated within the 400-year old Galle Fort UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amangalla is housed in the historic colonial building formerly known as the New Oriental Hotel.
The property was founded in 1863 and traded under the name for 140 years. Traders, merchants and Dutch and English colonists have all left an incredible stamp on the character of Galle Fort and today it is part of Sri Lanka’s living heritage.
As Aman’s first destination in Sri Lanka, Amangalla plays an integral role, having re-opened in February 2005 after extensive renovation and restoration.
In 2018 Aman celebrates its 30th anniversary, with Amangalla amongst the 31 resorts globally continuing to provide the discerning traveler with privacy, magic service and peace.
