2018 FGLF Children’s Programme Announcement

The 2018 Fairway Galle Literary Festival Children's Programme

The Children’s Programme for the Fairway Galle Literary Festival 2018 will take place on January 27th and 28th, 2018 at the Thomas de Gall School in Galle.

The events will consist of a variety of activities designed for four age groups:

  • 3-5 years
  • 5–7 years
  • 8–11 years
  • 12+ years

‘The programme for 2018 will explore different storytelling methods from cultures around the world such as Sri Lanka, Japan, Africa, Europe and the UK. The focus is on giving young people a lot of practical experience in creating their own work, using a variety of forms such as poetry, prose and drama.”Tracy Holsinger (Programme Coordinator).

The final activities on both days consist of sharing performances and other created work with parents and friends.

The ticket prices range from Rs.1,000.00 to Rs.3,500.00 per day, depending on age group, and includes lunch and two snacks. Your kids can look forward to two stimulating, energetic days filled with literature, music and art.
