Miquita Oliver has been a broadcaster for 25 years. After starting her career on Channel 4’s iconic music show Popworld, she went on to present the channel’s T4 strand for a further ten years. Her broadcasting work has also included fronting shows on BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra. Throughout her career, Miquita has worked extensively in live television, for both Channel 4 and the BBC alongside a range of factual formats, including BBC2’s The Caribbean with Andi and Miquita, with her mother Andi Oliver.
In 2024, Miss Me? was launched on BBC sounds, hosted by Miquita and Lily Allen. It went on to receive Best Entertainment Podcast after only six months on air, becoming one of the BBC’s most successful podcasts to date. Since its launch, the show has gone on to define the culture and conversation in the UK, as well as reaching an extensive global audience.
Miquita is continuing to develop as a broadcaster and producer and is currently working on numerous projects across history, music, culture and entertainment.
