Pathum Wickramarathne is a seasoned journalist, writer, and media professional with over 15 years of experience in the field. Currently, he serves as the Sri Lankan Editor for a leading Australian news platform and the Editor of News Asia. He has previously worked with prominent national newspapers, including Rivira as Chief News Editor and Lakbima as a political columnist.

An accomplished poet and author, Pathum has published several poetry collections and non-fiction books. As a skilled translator, he has translated numerous works, fostering cross-cultural literary connections. With a Master’s in Digital Media Communication, Pathum is also a lecturer in the field, mentoring the next generation of media professionals.

A dedicated media activist, Pathum holds leadership roles as the General Secretary of the Sri Lankan Center of PEN International and the Asian Media and Cultural Association. He is also the President of Media Pro Tech, an international trade union for media workers.
