Anisha is a researcher and editor, with an interdisciplinary professional and educational background in museology, anthropology, literary arts, and disinformation. She is the founder and executive chairperson of the Lakmahal Community Library, established in Colombo in 2022. Lakmahal is a centre for creative writing and storytelling, intended to be a third space and institution that cultivates creativity and inspires diverse and critical ways of thinking through writing and storytelling.
Anisha is also a museums project lead at the Collective for Historical Dialogue & Memory. Anisha’s interests are centered around storytelling and the concept of narrative, and the different ways they are used and misused—through museums, literature, and media. She holds a MA in Museum Anthropology from Columbia University and a BA in Literary Arts and Linguistic from Brown University.
