Curtis currently works as the Deputy Principal at Galle International College. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Curtis relocated to Galle in 2014 to join the school and has thoroughly enjoyed participating in the growth of the school over the past decade whilst embracing opportunities, such as Galle Literary Festival, to connect with the broader community.
Through his teaching of GCSE and A Level English Literature, Curtis has developed an immense appreciation for poetry as an art form. When teaching poetry, Curtis loves watching students gradually unlock the layers of meaning hidden in the puzzle of text and this is also what draws him to poetic texts.
Outside of school and literature, Curtis also enjoys playing amateur pop covers on his piano, cooking and spending time with his rescue dogs and cats. He would like to thank the event organisers for this amazing opportunity and for bringing such a globally scaled event to the shores of south Sri Lanka.
