Louise Minchin is a TV presenter, journalist, author and endurance athlete. She presented the UK’s most-watched morning programme, BBC Breakfast, for 20 years. Before that, Louise was a news anchor on the BBC News Channel and the BBC’s One O’Clock News.
Louise has taken part in several reality TV shows in the UK including, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Celebrity MasterChef. Her debut thriller, Isolation Island, is set in a gruelling reality television show on a remote Scottish island, is published in September 2024.
Her first book, Dare to Tri, charted her journey from the BBC Breakfast sofa to representing the Great Britain Triathlon team in her age group at World and European Championships. Her second book Fearless, Adventures with Extraordinary Women won the People’s Book Prize for non-fiction 2024. She was Chair of the prestigious Women’s Prize for Fiction 2023.
