Adrien Krause is a 33-year-old radio journalist from the French-speaking part of Switzerland. A passionate admirer of Swiss travel writer Nicolas Bouvier, he followed in the writer’s footsteps at the age of 20, setting off on a bicycle journey through the Balkans, Turkey, Iran, and Central Asia. Now a correspondent for Swiss radio in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Adrien continues to trace Bouvier’s journey, this time exploring the island nation where the writer found himself stranded at a guesthouse in Galle in 1955.
