Chris Devonshire-Ellis is a long-term Sri Lanka resident and spends his time between homes in Unawatuna on the south coast, and in the Nuwara Eliya mountains, where he runs a farmhouse and grows artichokes, parsnips, pumpkins, and zucchini. He is well known throughout Asia due to his corporate involvement in foreign investment. Originally from the UK, he has lived throughout Asia for over 40 years.
He has two dogs, numerous chickens and rabbits, and is an avid birdwatcher. This is his firstchildren’s book, which reflects his interest in nature and encourages children to appreciate it. “The Optimistic Kingfisher” has also been translated into Russian and Chinese.
