Claire Adam was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. Golden Child, her first novel, won the Desmond Elliott Prize, the McMitterick Prize, the Authors Club Best First Novel Award and was named one of the BBC’s ‘100 Novels that Changed the World’. Love Forms, Claire’s second novel, has been longlisted for the 2025 Booker Prize. Claire lives in London with her family.
