Award winning author Ute Krause will read from her story about a resourceful child who subdues a terrifying beast with his culinary skills! Ute will also share illustrations from the story and be available for questions and book signing after the reading.

10:50 AM – 12:00 PM: Create A Puppet

Puppets have a rare storytelling power and are associated with cultures from around the world. Create your very own puppet character and learn who they are and what they can do in this session with Seema Omar.

Tehani Chitty helps you to create and perform stories with the puppets you have made.

1:45 PM – 2:05 PM: What We Did Today

Participants will share their memories from the day and record them through art in this wind down session guided by early learning specialist Seema Omar.

2:05 PM – 2:15 PM: Show and Tell

Share your puppet shows and your memories of the day with your parents.

2:15 PM – 2:30 PM: Quiet Time

Quiet time, for children and parents, with Seema Omar.

Find out more about epic quests and the world of Greek mythology through an interactive role playing game hosted by Kimaya de Silva and Brandon Ingram. Be the hero (or the villain!) as you fight monsters, journey into the underworld and save the day (or not!). The outcome of the adventure lies in your hands!

Be soulful, outrageous, witty or even just downright silly as you create spoken word narratives with looper artist Larry T. Hill. Learn how to make soundscapes and musical tracks to accompany your story, using just voice and a looping pedal.

Find out more about Thor, Loki, Freya and the world of Norse mythology through an interactive role playing game hosted by Tracy Holsinger and gamers from Lanka Comic Con.
