Greg’s first career was in theatre as actor, director & writer. He has lived and worked in Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Madrid, mostly as a translator and interpreter for a variety of international organisations. In 2015, he returned to theatre, writing and producing 25 plays and musicals, plus four short films.

He took advantage of 2020’s lockdown to fulfil a long-term ambition to sit quietly and write a powerful thriller, The Coming Darkness. He has since written two sequels, The Coming Storm (April 2024) and The Coming Fire (tbc). At the same time, his 1972 cosy crime series, The Maisie Cooper Mysteries, reached its third volume in March 2024 with Murder at the Theatre. He is also founder and leader of the theatre script development programme, Criterion New Writing. He is married to Kate Mosse.
