Hajra Williams is a researcher and museum consultant in the UK. Her AHRC-funded PhD research, completed in May 2024 with the Design Star consortium, was entitled ‘British South Asian experiences of collaborative exhibition-making, 1971 to 2008’. Her research focuses on museum collections, exhibitions and South Asian community engagement. From 1997 to 2014, Hajra worked at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, as South Asian Officer and as interpretation lead on capital projects. She holds a BA in Design from the Glasgow School of Art, an MA in Fine Art from the Royal College of Art, an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and a PhD from the University of Brighton.
