Nihal Arthanayake is an acclaimed multi-award winning broadcaster, journalist, podcaster and author. He currently presents the Headliners Podcast on the BBC in the UK. His extensive knowledge of music and inimitable storytelling enable him to secure outstanding interviewees from Sir Salman Rushdie and Senator Bernie Sanders, to Bernadine Evaristo and Gillian Anderson. His unique interviewing style was recognised at the BBC Radio and Music Awards where he won Interview of the Year in 2019. Nihal has made a number of documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service, and in 2021 he presented Nihal’s Olympic Odyssey for BBC1 from Tokyo. He is a regular on our TV screens with appearances on shows like The Hit List, Mastermind and House of Games. In 2022, his debut book Let’s Talk was published by Trapeze and received stellar reviews.
