We are delighted to welcome Sri Lankan writer Dileepa Abeysekera to the 2017 Fairway Galle Literary Festival.

Sri Lankan writer Dileepa Abeysekera translated the award-winning novel Chinaman.

Dileepa Abeysekera is a founding partner at Heensare (Pvt) Ltd., a leading local advertising agency. He has been an influential writer and creative director for over two decades.

His Sinhala translation of FGLF 2017 participant Shehan Karunatilaka’s award winning novel Chinaman: Legend of Pradeep Mathew is now in publication and is available at book sellers islandwide that can be found here: http://www.diogenes.lk/index.html

Much of Dileepa’s faculty with words, insights and ideas may be attributed to his bilingual education. He is an old boy of Asoka Vidyalaya and Ananda College in Colombo. He is also a graduate of Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland, where he majored in International Relations and Sociology, with a special interest in social deviance and criminology.

Dileepa’s other interests include poetry, music, cinema and literature.
