Established in 2003, the Fairway Group entered the commercial arena with the development of an 800 KVA mini hydro power plant in the village of Sitagala in Balangoda, Sri Lanka.

Fairway Holdings assumed the title sponsorship of the Galle Literary Festival in 2015, and made possible the FGLF’s triumphant return in 2016.
