Beyond the Frame: People and Cultural Photography with Catherine Karnow

Join internationally acclaimed photographer Catherine Karnow of National Geographic for an intimate photo workshop in Galle Fort. Meet artisans in the quiet courtyards of heritage houses, connect with family members and capture old friends gathering for a game of cricket or to set the world to rights on the ramparts. A rare chance to hone your photography skills whilst experiencing the community life and culture of the Fort.

Expect an introductory session and photography in various locations within the Fort from 2.30 – 6.30pm on Saturday 8th, before meeting Catherine again to refine your strongest images from 10am – 12pm on Sunday morning.
