Filmmaker, writer and surfer Sam Bleakley has caught some of the world’s greatest waves. He has also advocated for the growth of grass-roots surfing communities in countries across the globe. Join Sam on the shore of the Indian Ocean for a conversation with fellow surf writer Leandro Filippin about surfing as a force for good, as well as mindful reflections on the soulful magic of being out on the water.

Soul & Surf hosts friendly retreats right on the coast in Ahangama. The eight airy rooms have uninterrupted views of the lagoon – as do the covered rooftop yoga shala and  buzzy café. Meet like-minded travellers in yoga classes, out on the water or whilst sipping cocktails. The weekly Sunday sunset session – complete with beats by locally based DJs – begins after this event.
