From the UK to Australia, Sri Lankan food is the flavour of the moment. Cynthia Shanmugalingam’s delectable cookbook, Rambutan, recounts tales of her family history in Jaffna and a lifelong love of the island’s cuisine. She is joined by Lahiru Perera, co-founder of Smoke & Bitters – named the 40th Best Bar in Asia for 2023 – and British food critic Tom Parker Bowles, to discuss the global appetite for Sri Lanka’s culinary exports. Chaired by Eliane Sterchi, manager of Gourmet Galle.
